Casco Bay Wind Symphony

Formed in 1980, the Casco Bay Wind Symphony (formerly known as Casco Bay Concert Band) now includes about 70 musicians from diverse musical backgrounds, professions, and localities from Southern New Hampshire to Central Maine. The ensemble performs regularly at the McCormack Performing Arts Center at Gorham High School, and gives frequent concerts primarily in Maine, including Music in Our Schools programs, holiday concerts, and Fourth of July performances. The group has also made several appearances at the Boston Festival of Bands. The Casco Bay Wind Symphony will perform a fall concert on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 3:00pm and a Family Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 3:00pm. Both performances will be at the McCormack Performing Arts Center. If you are new to Casco Bay Wind Symphony or have questions, please contact Karina Babcock at 774-5923. Conductor: Dr. Peter Martin is a Professor of Music at the University of Southern Maine and conductor of the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble and the Casco Bay Wind Symphony.
